Academic Blogging

The one thing about setting up my blog that really struck me is that I already had one. When I first opened up the Blogger website, I had assumed that I would have to sign up like everyone else. Instead I was brought to my dashboard with my original blog that I created in back in high school for a project in my Journalism class that I had completely forgotten about. The blog was entitled “The Real Talk Times”, which similar to this blog’s purpose, was used to answer questions that were given by the teacher. I had first considered resurrecting that blog instead of making a whole new one, but then I thought to myself of the meaning of academic blogging and the responsibility that comes with the title I decided that I had to start from scratch and create a whole new blog. When it came to giving my academic blog a name, I decided to think completely out of the box and cleverly name my “The Akademik”. I settled upon this name because I felt that it was a good title to commemorate my new life as an academic blogger. So with that being said, I will wrap up this first post and sign off for now.
